Pioneer Memorial Park
“We are celebrating 160 years of existence and to give the park this name would honour the pioneers who started the town on the banks of the Nith River.” - Roy Scheerer
Congratulations to Roy Scheerer on being the "Name the Park" contest winner. He will receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Anna Mae’s for his contribution. A sincere thank you to all who participated in the Name the Park Contest offering 67 names. Many were accompanied by reasons for the choice.
THANK YOU!
A sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend an overwhelming success. THANKS to those who planned and prepared for the website, wall-hanging and quilt, classic car and tractor show, parade, school reunion, opening ceremonies, historical building walkabout, history book, CD, street market, threshing demonstration, barbecues, artifact display, historical play, and the community worship.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated cash, materials, time and energy! Everything was greatly appreciated.
We were able to pay all the expenses and a small balance was left in the Village of Millbank Association treasury.
